The Best Chris Pratt Movies, Ranked

The 10 Best Chris Pratt Movies, Ranked

Updated on

Chris Pratt is one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars, but his career actually started in 2002 when he landed his first starring role in the primetime drama Everwood. After that, Pratt landed a leading role in another series, the massive comedy hit Parks and Recreation, turning him into a household name.

In the 2010s, Pratt transitioned out of television and into movies and ended up starring in some of the biggest franchises of the decade like Guardians of the Galaxy, The Lego Movie, and Jurassic World. While all three of those movies are on the Top 10 List for Pratt’s best films, there are also a lot of others from various genres.

The #7 spot goes to Strangers with Candy, an obscure indie comedy Pratt starred in back in 2006. Based on Stephen Colbert’s comedy series of the same name, the movie followed a 46-year-old ex-junkie (Amy Sedaris) who returns to high school to restart her life. The movie is weird, wild, and filled with hilarious dark humor. The #3 spot goes to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which brought the classic Nintendo characters to life and became one of the most popular movies of 2023.

But Pratt’s best movie remains 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which takes the #1 spot on the list. Not only was it Pratt’s first starring role as an action hero (and superhero), but it also turned him into a bonafide Hollywood star. Plus, the movie was incredibly inventive and exciting thanks to its classic rock soundtrack, ample amounts of humor, and outer space action, all of which helped Guardians of the Galaxy put a unique twist on the superhero genre. Pratt was also joined by an absolutely fantastic cast that included Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, and Lee Pace, among many others.

Check out our ranking of Pratt’s 10 best movies, ranked. From sci-fi hits to animated favorites, Oscar winners, and more, Pratt’s filmography is much more varied than many fans might realize. Here are his 10 best movies so far.
