Chris Pratt gushes his pregnant wife Katherine Schwarzenegger is 'ready to pop' on a hiking date in LA

Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, are preparing to welcome their first child together very soon.

With the lovebird's imminent due date inching closer, the 41-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star and best-selling author, 30, soaked up some quality time in LA. 

'Ready to pop / still don't stop,' the actor captioned a mountainside picture of him and Katherine for his 28.8 million Instagram followers on Saturday. 'Top of the mountain today.'

For their active date, the parents-to-be matched in all-black workout gear, as the eldest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger put her baby bump on full display. 

While they both flashed bright smiles and looked relaxed, Pratt confessed he was 'kinda grateful' she didn't go into labor on the trail. 

One day prior, she joined her mother, Maria Shriver, on a leisurely morning stroll.

The mother daughter duo made sure to put safety first, as they covered their mouths and noses, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. 

Like the former First Lady of California, Katherine sported a baseball cap and stayed comfortable in a pair of sneakers. 

Throughout her pregnancy, Schwarzenegger has stayed active on daily walks around her neighborhood and successfully launched her podcast, The Gift of Forgiveness

Last week, Pratt, who also shares a seven-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris, revealed his wife was nine months along. 

In June, she went live on Instagram with Dr. Zelda Montminy and shared she was doing 'really, really well actually' while pregnant in self-isolation.

'I mean I’m really lucky to be living in like very close proximity to my family, which has been very helpful,' she explained.

'And then obviously I have a wonderful husband who’s very – it’s been amazing having him home and also like very understanding about my need to like sanitize everything, have everyone wear masks all the time. So that’s been helpful.'

She said of the overall experience that 'I'm learning it as I go and it's been interesting time to be pregnant for sure, so it's been fun.'

Chris and Katherine tied the knot last summer at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, the same venue where Vivien Leigh married Laurence Olivier and Neil Armstrong tied the knot with his second wife Carol Knight.
