Colorado Early Colleges Fort Collins is a tuition-free, open enrollment public charter middle and high school. CECFC provides a personal and supportive atmosphere where students are able to pursue their unique and individual educational and career goals. As an early college school, CECFC’s academic program is designed to allow students who complete the curriculum to earn an associate degree, 60+ college credit hours, and/or career credential at no cost to families. Any student, regardless of background or skill level, can enroll.

CEC Fort Collins Middle and High School provides students in grades 6th-12th the opportunity to begin working on college-level courses as soon as they are college ready. CECFC assesses every student who enrolls and meets them where they are academically, no matter the level.

As a home-schooled student, Colorado Early College Fort Collins was crucially involved in my current college success. I was in the dual enrollment program with AIMS Community College. My advisors were very helpful and never left me wondering what classes I should take or how the semester was going to go. Additionally, it was obvious that both people cared about me as a person as well as a student. This school was very supportive of my dreams as aspirations as well. The communication between the advisors at Aims and CECFC was shaky at times but never terrible. I do not have any gripes with this high school if they will smooth out the communication between these parties.

Review Colorado Early College Fort Collins

They provide a great opportunity with the early college model but the schools culture and leadership is horrible. They care more about dress code then they do about students well being. I've seen students that don't "fit the mold" pushed out on multiple occasions including students with special needs and of different ethnicities. We are pulling our daughter after this year, it doesn't matter how "good" the academics are if they are teaching our daughter to be a horrible person.

It is really encouraging to see my daughter excited about school. As a kid who always loved school, I was bummed that my kids didn't seen to have a good elementary experience and was often behind and unengaged with classes. In her first semester at CEC, I've seen huge changes in her attitude and engagement with school. She is excited about what she's learning. She is not frustrated with not understanding material. She likes all her teachers and positively adores a couple of them. I am so encouraged to see her growing and thriving in this environment. The only criticism I have is that they have, in my opinion, too much focus on a somewhat harsh dress code that targets young women and upholds the unfair double standards of the patriarchy. All the girls in our carpool have been talked to about their clothes and it seems to only serve to shame young women about their bodies. I haven't seen any of them wear anything that I, as a protective parent, would consider immodest.
