Charles V was a Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke of Austria from 1519, King of Spain (Castile and Aragon) from 1516, and Lord of the Netherlands as titular Duke of Burgundy 1506.

Biography

Charles V was born on February 24, 1500. Charles had a extended due to intermarriages from his family's past. In 1516, Charles became king of Spain. Then, in 1519, Charles became Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke of Austria. Charles made an alliance with English King Henry VIII against France. Henry VIII left the alliance and Charles capture Francis I. Henry and Charles would hate each other after Charles declined Henry to the French throne. On September 21, 1558, Charles V died at the age of 58.
