This community is a special place for shelter volunteers, foster parents and shelter staff from both Santa Barbara County Shelters to come together, online, to talk about the animals we have come to love and care for, special or specific needs or requests for help and any upcoming events we should know about.
Please refrain from posting unrelated videos, memes, and other non shelter related items.
This is a private group only open to current staff, volunteers, and foster parents. The public cannot see what you have written. If you know of a SBCAS staff person or volunteer who is not a member, please be sure to let them know to look us up and join. With all that’s been happening with Covid, many are taking a break but want to still be kept in the loop but If you move from the area or choose not to continue to work with Animal Services, please do remove yourself from this page as we want to make sure posts made do remain private within this group.

Be Kind and Courteous
We're all in this together to help provide and advocate for the best care for the shelter animals and positive working environment between Volunteers and Staff. Please be respectful of one another.

No Hate Speech or Bullying
Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about each other or things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

No Promotions or Spam
We are hear for the shelter animals. Absolutely NO Self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links aren't allowed. No Memes - keep all post shelter related.

Respect Privacy of Each Other and Shelter
Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Some discussions made in this group are private and may also be shelter sensitive. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.

Communication
Feel free to ask questions about specific dogs and those that are in foster. If an animal has recently transferred from one location to another, this is the perfect place to share what you know.
