Casimir Gzemski

Casimir (Kaz) Gzemski, a dedicated Industrial Electrician known for his skills and hard work, has sadly passed away at the age of 83 in Milltown, New Jersey. Born in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania on May 31, 1940, Casimir leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.


Throughout his life, Kaz was not only a skilled professional but also a devoted family man. He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and was known for his loving and caring nature towards them. His gentle soul and kind heart touched the lives of many.


In addition to his successful career, Kaz had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought him gratification. He was an avid reader, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a proud member of the Milltown Seniors, South River Gun Club and Lenape Rod and Gun Club. His active involvement as a democratic committeeman for Milltown showcased his dedication to his community. As an usher at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, volunteer at Elijah’s Promise and Meals on Wheels delivery, Kaz found solace and purpose in serving others.


Kaz’s presence will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Laverne of 64 years, his loving children Marie Macor (Tom) of Milltown, James Gzemski (Beth) of Manahawkin, Charles Gzemski (Sherri) of Milltown and Daniel Gzemski (Jennifer) of Milltown. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Lisa Macor, Joshua Macor, Thomas Macor, Daniel Macor, Michael Macor, Sarah Gzemski, Hannah Potter, Joseph Gzemski, Brian Gzemski, Matthew Gzemski and Gus Gzemski, and four great grandchildren, Austin Macor, Chase Macor, Riley Macor and Bryce Macor. In addition, Kaz is survived by his sister Alma Wolyn of Tinton Falls and cousin Joseph Molski (Janet) of New Port, Pennsylvania.


To celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many, a visitation for Kaz will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 North Main St-at Riva Avenue in Milltown from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, North Main Street, Milltown followed by entombment at Holy Cross Burial Park in Jamesburg.


Kaz will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his passion for life’s simple pleasures and his dedication to serving both his profession and community. As we bid farewell to him, may we find solace in the beautiful memories he has left behind. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly loved and will never be forgotten.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions may be made to the Milltown Rescue Squad or Elijah’s Promise in New Brunswick.
