‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’

10 years ago tomorrow, Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released in theaters, setting the tone for everything that followed in the MCU’s Infinity Saga. Still, after over 30 feature releases, Winter Soldier remains a high point for the franchise with a fresh take on superhero movies, infusing hallmarks of the genre with elements of paranoid espionage thrillers. The second movie in the Captain America trilogy brings the title hero (Chris Evans) into the 21st century and immerses him in a deep conspiracy about the very organization he works on behalf of. Along the way he’ll reunite with old friends, meet new allies, and face a new adversary who may be more familiar than he thinks.
