For those that don’t remember or didn’t see, I mourned the loss of online game website candystand.com with an elaborate and detailed Retro Flashback. After all, I was a kid when the website was still owned by Life Savers. I wholeheartedly adored the content they provided, especially the Mini Golf games. Nabisco had also once provided these as part of their own website, hence the Mini Golf games the same developers made for them, but they’ve suffered the same fate a couple years prior to Candystand’s closing.
Thankfully enough, someone out there has finally heard my plea! A little website known as OneWeakness has been archiving plenty of early 2000’s games that had previously ceased to exist. Recently, a user on the website archived most of the Mini Golf games that were featured on Candystand and Nabiscoworld!
Their list of revived Mini Golfs consists of the following:
- Candystand Mini Golf Classic
- Candystand Mini Golf Open
- NabiscoWorld/Candystand Golf Course
- NabiscoWorld Mini-Golf
- NabiscoWorld Mini Mini-Golf
Crash Nitro Golf isn’t one of the games, but upon seeing the rest I don’t even care! Mini Golf Open is one of them! This game in particular hasn’t ever been seen online since at least well over a decade, not even when using tools like Wayback Machine!! And now it’s finally playable again! Another baffling inclusion is a version ofNabiscoWorld Mini Golf that is coated with Candystand and snow aesthetics – I have never even seen that version until now!
Everyone that reads this and even has the slightest interest in golf, I demand that you play these! They have always been some of the best, if not the best, miniature golf games to have ever surfaced on the Internet.
(Note: You need the Safari browser and Shockwave to play them.)
