New Movies and Shows to Stream This Weekend: The Crown Season 4, I Am Greta and American Horror Story: 1984

This weekend’s streaming lineup is not going to help you determine which show or movie is the best, but we can enjoy doing some thorough research by watching some top picks! After a yearlong wait, The Crown is back for its fourth season — and we finally get a look at the infamous Margaret Thatcher and the even-more famous Princess Diana! Once you’ve finished binge-watching what is sure to be the most dramatic season of the historical drama yet, be sure to check out I Am Greta over on Hulu, an inspiring new documentary about teenage activist Greta Thunberg. It looks like big titles are winning all over the board, because American Horror Story: 1984 is available on both Amazon Prime Video and Netflix this weekend. Like we said, the decision-making process will not be an easy one! But to get started, check out all the great movies and shows now streaming below:

New on Netflix November 15: The Crown Season 4

Break out your best tea kettle and don your fancy box hats because after much anticipation, The Crown Season 4 is finally new on Netflix this Sunday! The highly-acclaimed historical drama series picks back up with the royal family in the late 1970s — arguably the most scandal-rife period of Elizabeth’s reign. The queen (played again by Olivia Colman) not only has to deal with the controversial and divisive policies of new Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson), but she must also settle the matter of her 30-something son and heir’s (Josh O’Connor) bachelor status. Enter Diana Spencer (played brilliantly by Emma Corrin), a young teacher’s assistant who is swept off her feet when she marries Prince Charles. You probably know what happens next, but we love to watch it all unfold on screen in The Crown, Season 4, one of the best shows on the platform.

New on Hulu November 13: I Am Greta

New on Hulu this weekend is I Am Greta, a brilliant new documentary about internationally-known teenage climate activist, Greta Thunberg. When 15-year-old Greta started skipping school to reflect the lack of sufficient action world leaders need to take to save our climate, she captured the world’s attention and hearts in a very, very big way. Because if government leaders do not care about a young woman’s future, then why should she? This inspiring documentary follows the headline-making Gen Z activist as she continues to fight climate change in the ways she can— hopefully making a difference before it is too late.

New on Amazon Prime Video November 13: American Horror Story: 1984

The latest installment in Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy’s hit anthology horror series is new on Amazon Prime this weekend. Titled American Horror Story: 1984, this season of AHS centers on a group of teens who leave Los Angeles to work as camp counselors at Camp Redwood in summer, 1984. When you combine the 80s and summer camp you are sure to get a killer slasher saga, but in typical AHS fashion, the true horror is not found in the villains, but in the protagonists’ own mental states. Relish in the gory fun while watching American Horror Story: 1984.
