Delle Vicent
Delle Bryant Vicent, 65, was born May 16, 1958, in Jesup, to the late Ralph Bryant and Myra Shepard Bryant. She passed away on Jan. 16, 2024. After a courageous and hard fought 18-month battle, she has defeated colon cancer and is safely and securely in the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior.
Upon learning of her cancer diagnosis she said she wanted to be the best witness for Jesus that she could be; her friends will tell you that she exceeded expectations to the very end. Her passions have always been playing the piano and teaching. She was the pianist and a girls Sunday School teacher at Bible Baptist Church in Brunswick for 44 years. She also taught elementary school for 35 years, starting out at Brunswick Christian Academy, before finishing her career at Burroughs-Molette and CB Greer Elementary schools. She loved her family fiercely and with her whole heart.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary; two daughters, Faith Michelle Hall (Milton) of Brunswick and Jessie Lauren Washburn (Kelly) of Macon; grandchildren, Katie Grace and Kylie Hope Hall of Brunswick; two brothers, Kirby (Sandra) and Kenny (Patti), both of Jesup; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church with the Pastor Mike Landrum and her son-in-law, Milton Hall, officiating.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., prior to the service at Bible Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Moran and his staff at American Oncology Network in Brunswick who took care of her with the greatest compassion the family could have ever hoped for. We are forever grateful and love them like family. Also, a special thank you to the doctors and staff at SGHS during our visit this week; for the most part she got great care. Finally, we are also so grateful for the care she got at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, www.edomillerandsons.com, is entrusted with the arrangements.
