Prices were very high. Food was very good, but small portions at a high cost. Restaurant was 1/2 full yet they seated everyone on one side of the restaurant with not enough room for the staff to get between chairs. Service from staff was very good.

The host, bartender and manager Si made our visit enjoyable. But ultimately they were over booked and our server was overwhelmed. We were warned when we were seated our server wasn't happy that they accidentally sat two tables in her section, but assured us we still would have great service. Long story short, salads and bread took forever, a table next to us was seated after us, ordered after us and received their appetizer long before we could get our breads and salads. When salads arrived they came with the wrong dressing, server argued with us and then realized her error. Host noticed we were still waiting for our entrees and when he checked on it, manager brought out brussel sprouts because they were just added. Steaks arrived a little while later and we asked for knives. Waited more as the server had a heated discussion with the host. Eventually she grabbed knives off another table and brought them to us Steaks were more medium than medium rare, but we didn't want to complain and wait all over again. Server checked on us when we're about 1/3 way done with our meal and I said it was fine, steaks weren't cooked right but it was ok. She asked if she could make something right and we had said it was ok. She left and came back shoving her phone in my face saying the kitchen only had the ticked for 39 minutes not the hour I complained about. Not sure where she got that from, but she continued to argue. I asked her to just leave so I could just enjoy the meal with my Mom. She continued, asked her again, ok I told her to just go. It was not a productive conversation. Skipping ahead, when we got our check she added a 20% large party gratuity because we "complained". My Mom was rather upset and the manager came over and sat down for a conversation. He seemed to understand our side. I appreciate, the service of the bartender, the enthusiasm and humor of the host, the empathetic ear of the Si the manager, but if I go back again will avoid the argumentative server.

When we arrived, we immediately were able to sit in the bar area and have a drink before being seated at our table. Once we were done with our drinks, we sat at our table and began our wonderful culinary evening with Priscilla as our host/waitress. The food all came out in record time but smooth enough to enjoy every minute of the ambiance. Yes, a little disappointed in some guests wearing baseball caps or just plain t-shirts. But most other gusts were dressed for this wonderful dining room. We will definitely be back, again, and continue to tell others of our great experience at Jake's!

New management. Don’t go! Waited 40 minutes past our reservation for a table. Then 20 more minutes at our table and no one acknowledged us. We finally left. They have a lot of work to do before they can call themselves a restaurant

Very disappointing, this was my favorite place to go. Arrived for reservation were seated, 40 min later got our drink, bread. Ordered our dinner another 40 min our dinner arrived. Never received our salad until I asked for it. Steak was good but service was horrible. I’m not sure what management company took over but I would fire them and all their help.

Been dining there for years. Food great as always. However the service was not as efficient as was in the past. But they did have several large parties that night. And I know they closed recently to male staff and building upgrades. So I’m sure in time things will get better. We will be back

Booked a 7 pm reservation on open table. I did put notes in that it was my wife’s birthday which was pointless as they went unread. We arrived about 15 min early and were seated and watered immediately. Drinks were a bit of a wait and while waiting we were given a couple of gift cards to use for dinner. Awesome right! After we were given our bill, we were told that it was a mistake and they were for another table. But hey, we got a free piece of cake after they overheard me tell my wife Happy Birthday. Food was great as always but service has definitely suffered a hit. Not that I won’t go back, but expectations will be way lower and special occasions are out of the question for the near future. Hopefully they get it back together.

Our experience tonight was one of the best we have had over 50 years of dining at Jake’s locations. Annie, the manager, Grace, our server, and several other employees provided great service. The food was outstanding and the price very reasonable. This restaurant team provides first class service and food. We will be back within two weeks. Thank you Jake.
