One Life to Live star Amanda Davies, aged just 42, has tragically passed away, leaving her family devastated.
The daughter of soap opera icon Erika Slezak and Hollywood actor Brian Davies, Amanda was best known for playing the teenage version of her mother's character Victoria Lord in the popular US show.
Her mother confirmed the heartbreaking news on Monday. "It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Erika's daughter Amanda Elizabeth Davies, who died very suddenly. The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time," she wrote in a statement. The cause of Amanda's death remains unknown.

Amanda's grandfather Walter Slezak starred in Alfred Hitchcock's famous 1944 war thriller Lifeboat. Her mom, now 77, appeared on ABC's One Life To Live for four decades from 1971 till 2012, winning six Daytime Emmy Awards for her role. Amanda also featured on One Life to Live in 2002.
Her dad Brian, 85, has had a successful film career with roles in American Gigolo and The Age of Innocence. Erika and Brian, who got married in August 1978, are also parents to son Michael, 43, who keeps out of the limelight.
News of Amanda Davies's death touched the hearts of many fans, including journalist Michael Fairman. He expressed online: "This just broke my heart. My thoughts are with dear Erika at this time. I know how much she loved her children." Another fan sympathized: "Oh, my goodness. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that Erika Slezak and her family are going through right now. May Amanda Davies rest in peace."
Erika shared the news through a statement on her website. This news follows only a month after Kamar de los Reyes, another actor from One Life To Live, passed away on Christmas Eve due to cancer. The specifics of Kamar's condition remained private. At 56, he passed. He was seen as police officer Antonio Vega in the soap opera from 1995-1998, rejoining two years later until the show concluded - similar to Erika's journey.
