I found it very easy to use
Thanks heaps
Used for World Book Day.
love it
This is an excellent starting sheet for KS2, those preparing for 11+ find it easy to progrss to the more advanced sheet. It also encourages younger children to review what they have read.

Hi _autumn_,
It's always lovely to hear that people like our resources. Thank you so much for letting us know! :)
I edited this sheet to respond to a play.
I've tried this with some year 3 students - they are not sure about it compared to other book review sheets we have used in the past, which have more questions to answer.
I downloaded the editable version, and have changed it to be a Summary of What I have read so far. On it they say what the book has been about so far, whether they like the book/why or why not/how they would improve the book, their rating so far, and 3 things they learnt about one character. Would be happy to upload the edited version I made, but am not sure how exactly. I would then use this with a predict what you think will happen next worksheet.

Help KS2 learners to write a book review using this template as a guide to help organise their ideas.
The template enables them to reflect on the book in a number of ways, prompting them to:
Providing a template structure is a great way to make reviewing books easier and more accessible for KS2 children. It will help KS2 children organise their ideas and present them neatly.
Why not check out our Design a Book Cover Template and get your children to have a go at designing their own book front covers?
Wait, there's more... Do you like your story books to come with an extra challenge? We also make puzzle adventure books where you can look for clues and solve riddles while you read! Try out our Twinkl Puzzled Adventure Books, including Adventure at Dragon Castle, The Theatre of Magic and The Lost Astronaut.
If you'd like to help KS2 learners to further practice their critical writing skills, then our Film Writing Review Template would act a great follow-up activity!
Alternatively, if you'd like to get your class to have a deeper look at a book you've been studying as a class, then the In-Depth Book Review Writing Template will give you exactly what you're looking for. This will help your KS2 class to look at specific plot points, as well as the settings featured in the book.
All of our KS2 review templates are designed to make critical engagement with books and films fun and enjoyable.
Simply print enough copies for your KS2 class and help them to complete the worksheet individually, based on either a book you read together as a class or their own favourite book.
This type of exercise will give KS2 students an important introduction to types of work that they'll be completing during KS3 and KS4 English lessons. So why not give your KS2 classes a head start by using this helpful book review template?
The template also makes for a neat and straightforward homework task. Simply ask your children to fill in their template upon reading or watching a film or book and bring it into school for appraisal.
