Let's go ahead and give Bombshell the Oscar for best makeup, because the transformations inJay Roach's new film about Roger Ailes' downfall Fox News are unbelievably true-to-life. The buzzy movie (out December 20) was inspired by female anchors at the network who spoke out against a culture of rampant misogyny and harassment under CEO Ailes. Visual artist Kazuhiro Tsuji (best known for turning Gary Oldman into Winston Churchill in The Darkest Hour) used prosthetics and special effects to transformCharlize Theron into Megyn Kelly, Nicole Kidman into Gretchen Carlson, and John Lithgow into Roger Ailes.
