The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) allows you to check the status of your claim or fund withdrawal via online and offline modes both. When it comes to online mode, you have three options available to check the claim status – through UAN member portal, EPF website and Umang portal.
Of these three online modes, UAN member portal is the easiest medium to check the provident fund claim status.
Step-by-step guide to check EPF claim status or withdrawal/transfer claims via UAN member portal:
- Log in to UAN Member Portal with your UAN and password
- Click ‘Online Services’ tab
- Select from the drop-down list the third option – ‘Track Claim Status’
- You can see the status of your online withdrawal/transfer claim on screen.
Here’s how to check EPF Claim Status through the official EPFO website using your UAN and password:
- Visit EPFO official website – https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemClaimStatusUAN/
- You’ll be redirected to ‘EPF Passbook & Claim Status’ page
- Enter your UAN, EPFO member password and captcha code
- Click ‘Claims’ tab to see the status of all your claims, including approved/settled, pending/in-process.
Steps to check EPF claim status through the Umang app:
- Download ‘Umang app’ and open it
- Search EPFO under the ‘All Services’ section
- Select the ‘Track Claim’ option under ‘Employee Centric Services’ tab
- Enter UAN
- Click ‘Get OTP’
- Enter OTP and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- All claims made for the UAN will appear on screen.
Members can also check their EPF claim status through offline mode. Here’s how to check:
Applicants can send an SMS from the mobile number linked with UAN to check their fund withdrawal status. They must follow a set format for sending the SMS. For example, the current format is ‘EPFOHO UAN LAN’. Here LAN stands for the preferred language to get the status.
