What travelers are saying
- MichiganMelissa04Plymouth, MI672 contributionsThis is a great place to stroll, bike, or run along the river. It is well-cared for and felt safe. Clearly the local folks enjoy it, as it was full even mid-day during the week. Be careful if you choose to paddle the river as there is a dangerous dam at one point so watch the signs.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MichiganMelissa04Plymouth, MI672 contributionsThe Old Idaho Penitentiary is really cool but to me was not the main attraction on this site. Certainly it was well-done and engaging - especially all of the bios of the prisoners. And I absolutely would have gone and enjoyed if that was all there was. BUT THERE IS A SECRET HERE that I had absolutely no idea about. The J Curtis Earl Weapons Through the Ages Museum is housed on the Old Idaho Pen's grounds. What!!?? We had no idea this was there. I tell you, I am a novice history buff, and I just loved this museum. It is its own museum, make no mistake. It will take 1-2 hours to walk through. It blew my mind that this was there, probably millions of dollars in ancient and antique weapons. Just wow. Absolutely amazing. Anyway, be sure to visit! Oh and don't forget to see Dennis the Cat's grave in the back of the grounds. :) And the museum giftstore is so well done, too! A well-curated assortment of fun and interesting objects and even food items.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MichiganMelissa04Plymouth, MI672 contributionsWhat a cool place! I would say allow 2-3 hours, but if you're in a hurry probably 1 hour would do. We enjoyed the live demonstration with the Barred Owl. They are currently working on saving the California Condor, after having worked diligently and successfully to save the Peregrine Falcon. This is not just a place to visit, this is an organization to support in their bird conservation/rehabilitation efforts.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MichiganMelissa04Plymouth, MI672 contributionsThis is such a beautiful capitol building. We were able to walk right up the steps and walk in and gaze at the dome. Almost strange the lack of visible security, but I am sure someone was watching us somewhere. The white marble columns in the dome are just stunning.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bungalow B1 contributionThis was an amazing experience!! My wife and I did this for our Valentines Day gift to each other. Greyson our instructor was just excellent. Super knowledgeable and made the experience such a pleasure. Would definitely do this again but with the whole family now.Written February 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AnilAggarwalKurukshetra, India6,815 contributionsBest park of Boise. Well maintained on Boise river with wide paved pathways, many ponds, flowers, birds chirping. Park & parking both wheel chair accessible. Dogs allowed. Restrooms clean. Biking, fishing, boating and swimming not allowed. Remain open from sunrise to sunset.Written December 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BeckyW1010Flowery Branch, GA160 contributionsWe went up for the day. They have skiing, snow tubing, and people watching! We did the last two! We spent 1.5 hours at Goldrush Tubing. It was an absolute blast. We are all over the age of 50 and had as much fun as kids. They have a people mover so you don’t have to walk back up the hill. I even got to give the Golden a ride down, he loved it. It was a great value at $25. We probably got 6 runs in 1.5 hours. They only allow a certain number of tix sold so it doesn’t get too crowded. The owner wants everyone to have a great time!Written February 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CharlieinTexasAustin, TX4,012 contributionsNice place to spend an hour or so. Could be better maintained and lacks imagination and creativity. St Louis and Denver botanical garden far superior, no comparison really (and, yes, far bigger cities). Roses, children’s area, and coy pond were my favorites.Written September 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom N5 contributionsI liked this nature center very much. The water stream is very nicely done. Seeing fish in a natural setting is a delight. Mini Waterfall is well done. Great for kids. Surrounding Municipal park, Boise river and Greenbelt makes a great place to visit.Written September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elizabeth P1 contributionBoise was beautiful and we enjoyed taking walks in Julia Davis Park and the rose garden. We also walked through the park to Boise State and enjoyed touring that campus. The weather was fantastic and we would go back.Written October 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MichiganMelissa04Plymouth, MI672 contributionsWhat a great little spot! It took us maybe 20-30 minutes to walk through, but I am not sure we saw all of it. Felt perfectly safe there. The artwork is all over the map, from poignant and thought-provoking to cutesy and fun. I liked all of the variations. Definitely worth a walk-through!Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
