Andrew Johnston Slant Magazine Last Days of Summer is the best and most artful season premiere of a returning show. Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Patrick Smith Daily Telegraph (UK) You don't need to know a quarterback from a halfback to enjoy Friday Night Lights. Although it revolves around a high-school American football team, this isn't just a sports drama; it's a treatise on small-town US life. Rated: 4/5 Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Amy Amatangelo Boston Herald What makes Friday Night Lights such a great show is that even when it is heading down an inevitable path, it is still compelling. Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Jae-Ha Kim Jae-Ha Kim "Friday Night Lights" is deeply entrenched in the world of football and teamwork, but the series transcends sports and delves into rich, human relationships that at times are heartbreakingly real. Dave K Continues to be so entertaining each and every episode Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/08/23 Full Review Regal R 80/100 - Honestly not a bad show. Some of the characters and writing is a bit odd. Its hit or miss. It's either really funny with great, witty dialogue, or it flops to some weird writing with plot holes, bad pacing, etc.. It wasnt received well and its hard for me to rate this because the first 2 seasons are mostly great. Season 3 is kind of bad. Season 4 gets revamped with michael b jordan but is still meh. season 5 is a bit better. Like I said the show is both good and bad, hit or miss throughout the episodes, I kind of wish the characters stuck to their character type instead of every single character changing to the opposite of who they started as. It makes the show kind of hard to watch because it's very predictable when you know if X happened last episode, the character will do Y next episode. Unrealistic in that aspect and breaks the 4th wall. Wroth watching though, its a drama for sure but its decent. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/01/23 Full Review whosmirko - Friday Night Lights: Season 2: 7.5 / 10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This season was rough due to the writers strike but still one of the best shows on TV ever! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Friday Night Lights Season 2 (B-)(82%) Has a hard time trying to match the excitement of the end of season one and how all of that wrapped up. Having coach Taylor away from the Panthers hurts the season too. But as the season goes further the plot starts to get thicker and interesting and there is some really good episodes near the end of the season. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review jackson m It takes a knee at the end of the season and doesn't provide nearly enough closure. It seems clear the writers just did not have enough ideas for the final act, and left the season short a few episodes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
