Angelina Jolie, Chrissy Teigen, Blake Lively, and More Donate to Black Lives Matter Charities

They're all urging fans to do what they can.

Bail-relief funds, the Minnesota Freedom Fund, and other charities helping to lift the Black Lives Matter movement got help from major stars who stepped forward with donations — as well as from donations that came from their followers and fans. Celebrities doubled down on their efforts, not only opening up their own wallets, but also, in some cases, matching their fans' donations and urging everyone to do what they could. Here's who helped and where they urged others to give.

Brad Pitt

The Mirror reported the actor matched Jennifer Aniston's $1 million donation to Color of Change.

Kanye West

After catching some criticism for staying quiet after George Floyd's death, West donated $2M to Floyd's family as well as the families of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. Additionally, he set up a college fund for Floyd's daughter, Gianna.

Angelina Jolie

Jolie donated $200,000 to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

Teigen donated $200,000 to bail funds after President Donald Trump tweeted about "MAGA Night."

Legend stated that he and Teigen would be donating to The Bail Project, the National Lawyers Guild, and Movement For Black Lives.

Ellen DeGeneres

DeGeneres announced that she would be donating to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Black Lives Matter, and the ACLU.

Lady Gaga

The singer shared that she was donating to the Loveland Foundation, Black Lives Matter, Campaign Zero, Marsha P. Johnson Institute, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Color of Change, Black Futures Lab, Fair Fight, National Lawyers Guild, and Community Justice Action Fund.

Janelle Monae

Monae matched rapper Noname's (real name: Fatimah Nyeema Warner) donation of $1,000 to the Minnesota Freedom Fund.

Seth Rogen

Rogen was also matching a donation, though he said that he went above and beyond the amount.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd donated $500K to various organizations, telling his fans, "Please give what you can, even if it's a small amount."

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively

The couple posted a joint statement on their Instagram accounts announcing a $200,000 donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Bella Hadid

Hadid also donated to the NAACP.

Cynthia Nixon

Like Monae, Nixon also matched Noname's donation.

Jameela Jamil

Jamil matched Noname's $1,000 donation.

Anna Kendrick

Kendrick let her followers know that they could split their donation like she did.

Megan Thee Stallion

The rapper donated more than $10k to bail funds.

Harry Styles

Styles also donated to bail funds and urged his followers to educate themselves and others.

Leonardo DiCaprio

The actor shared that he is donating to Color of Change, Fair Fight Action, the NAACP, and Equal Justice Initiative. He also encouraged fans to join him in donating and learning from the organizations.

BTS

The K-pop group along with Big Hit Entertainment donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter. Meanwhile, ARMY members are attempting to match their contribution, and they're half-way to their goal with $500,000 already raised.
