America's Got Talent: Simon Cowell predicts saxophonist Avery Dixon will be a superstar after a powerful performance in the Semi-Finals
Simon Cowell declared 21-year-old saxophonist Avery Dixon a superstar during Tuesday night's live two-hour semi-final performances on America's Got Talent on NBC.
'I'm going to predict something, I said this about Carrie Underwood years ago on another show, which is that you are going to be a superstar,' Simon, 62, said. 'I promise you, Avery, everything you dreamed of I actually believe is going to happen.'
Avery, a Golden Buzzer winner from Atlanta, was the last act of the night competing to be one of the two acts from 11 performances that would go straight to the final to compete for the $1 million dollar prize and to headline a show in Vegas.

Before he took the stage, Avery shared that he was born premature and that his lungs weren't fully developed. Avery said because he was also small that he was bullied at school.
'It was hard because I couldn't really talk back and that's how I discovered the saxophone,' Avery said. 'It's my outlet for all my emotions.'

Avery commanded the stage with his saxophone for his show stopping performance as the crowd cheered for him.
'You are a superstar,' Howie Mandel, 66, said. 'I love you and America loves you.'
Amoukanama, a dance group from Guinea, West Africa, was the first competitor of the night. They wowed the judges flipping through the air, doing somersaults over each other, and dancing in unison.

Next the Amazing Veranica Tchalabaeva, 12, from Oxford, Florida, had her troop of poodles dressed up in outfits perform tricks on stage.
The dogs jumped over hoops and walked on their hind legs across the stage. Then dogs also formed a conga line.
'It was amazing,' Sofia Vergara, 49, said.

Ava Swiss, from Oxford, Michigan, went next. She shared in her auditions that the Oxford School shooting that killed four students and injured seven others occurred at her high school in November.

After the shooting, she said she was uncomfortable to be in public but that she learned that she had to live her life.
'This performance is for Oxford,' Ava said. 'I want to show everyone that love is so much stronger than hate.'

Ben Lapidus from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, who got four X's in his audition but was voted by the audience went next. Ben began by playing the guitar wearing a jean overalls.

He then suddenly ripped them off wearing only a black leather outfit underneath.
'I'm the Parmesan cheese guy,' Ben screamed. 'I always want more parmesan but I'm embarrassed.'
The crowd cheered for him, but all the judges except Heidi buzzed him off. Heidi stood up and danced.
'He makes me lactose intolerant,' Howie said.

Comedian Lace Larrabee, a former beauty queen, from Marietta, Georgia Atlanta took the stage next. She made fun of her husband who was in the audience and going out to drink with her friends who were now mothers, though Simon buzzed her.

'There was something missing for me,' Simon said. 'I didn't find it that funny, I'm afraid.'
Country singer Drake Milligan from Nashville said his song started climbing the charts after his audition. Drake sang another original song called Kiss Goodbye All Night for his performance.

'Drake it's perfection,' Sofia said. 'You don't have to change a thing.'
'In my opinion, I think you are the real deal,' Simon said. 'This is, in my opinion, the best performance of the night.'

Contortionist Oleksandr Yenivatov from Ukraine said he was performing for peace for the people of his country. He took the stage with his wife and she moved his body into extreme poses. He then spun around on the floor with his legs in the splits and behind his body.
'I can't believe that a human body can do these kinds of things,' Sofia said.
'I didn't like the audition very much but tonight I love you,' Simon said. 'You really pushed yourself and did things we've never seen before.'

Comedian Jordan Conley was announced as the wildcard act picked by the audience to perform in the show.
The two acts who will move on to the final show will be announced on Wednesday's live semi-final show on NBC.
