We stayed at The Big Blue last year and had a wonderful time there.

The location backs onto The Pleasure Beach, so is perfectly placed for anyone planning a trip to the Pleasure Beach.

The rooms were of a good size and we managed to secure a good price through Laterooms.

There were nice little touch's like a fireplace and a view of the Pleasure Beach from our room.

The breakfast was plentiful and of a good standard.

I would definitely visit again.

If you prefer to be nearer the central town, then look for a more central hotel as it's a good 25/30 minute walk into the centre of town, although taxi prices are reasonable from the hotel if you don't fancy the walk.

This is a great family hotel located right next to the the Pleasure Beach resort. They cater for families (great rooms with bunk beds).

They are located right on the Promenade close to the Sandcastle Water Park.

We had a wonderful time, great service.

The restaurant is good, if a bit pricey.

They made a mistake on my bill and they realized and corrected the issue without even involving me.

We arrived on 11/3/16 greeted with a warm welcome by a lovely lady called Kelly who took interest in why we were staying and had lots of time for the children, each time we saw her and could not have been more helpful, may i say she is a credit to the hotel, the other staff too were lovely pleasant too, the man behind the breakfast counter was very tentative offered to bring sauces over as we had our food on the table, family rooms lovely with a little area for the children to sleep, beds comfy, the morning cleaning staff were pleasant and happy to pass the time of day, a lovely hotel highly recommended, location perfect for pleasure beech and only a tram ride away from everything else, Pleasure beech very professionally run , clean and tidy, Blackpool clean with nice beech and we had fantastic weather, a big thank you to all who made our stay lovely

After deciding on a fun filled couple of days with a 2 year old and 3 year old we decided on Blackpool
pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo. It was an excellent decision!
The Big Blue was a fabulous location! We arrived to very friendly staff! Good with children! Always a bonus for us. There was also plenty of other children so we didn't feel out of place! Quick check in and off we went to our spacious family room. The bunk beds with a tv each was a nice touch and we had a large bed too. Still enough room for a travel cot. Our view was so close to a roller coaster! We would see the people! Loved
It! By the time we got downstairs our wrist bands were ready and we were shown through the secret door straight into the Pleasure Beach! Nickelodeon Land was great for us! The kids had a ball! Happy kids happy parents!
We reserved dinner at the hotel and the food was really nice! However, next time we would probably venture to Pizza Hut or something just down the road.
Breakfast was nice! Buffet English with a choice of read and coffees and juices. Muffins and croissants too. Check out was quick and we also purchased our Zoo tickets here at a discounted price. All in all I would definitely recommend to anyone! Spotlessly clean, friendly and modern! Just what we look for!

Absolutely loved this hotel... I stayed here for four nights with my family and we had an excellent time. I loved the additional annex complete with two TVs, two bunk beds and a PlayStation 3 for the kids, main part of the room is a great size with a large tv, king size bed and a very comfortable sofa which was also used as a bed, the food in the restaurant was fantastic especially at breakfast, it was very hot and there was plenty of it, If I am back in Blackpool I will most definitely stay here.

This hotel is great, the food is fantastic and the buffet style breakfast is amazing with good quality sausages and bacon. The rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and can't do enough to help. Excellent location for the pleasure beach. Great value for money and well worth a visit.

Stayed one night as part of a big group attending an event. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional and the whole hotel is sparkly clean. We used the business centre for a small meeting. The in-house technology was excellent and the staff support too. Would definitely recommend.

We stay at this hotel every time we visit Blackpool.
It's usually very good but this time wasn't. We always book a family deluxe room but these are on the ground floor. We had a family above us that had no respect for other guests by letting their very noisy kids bag and run about till very late.
The restaurant is usually excellent but on this occasion it wasn't. The waiter got our food order wrong twice and then totally forgot to bring our daughters food. There was a family sitting across from us with loads of kids and very were getting drunk. Every other word was a swear word and they we're getting louder and louder. The staff including the waiters said absolutely nothing. It s my opinion that this is one of the best hotels in Blackpool but this time it was poor

First time at the Big Blue Hotel. Excellent. Room was exceptional. Spotlessly clean. Towels changed daily Bathroom toiletries included and changed when necessary as was tea facilities. Choice of drinks. Modern room with 2 armchairs and matching footstall and fire. Room central heated, but used fire as a booster. Very comfortable king size bed and extra pillows.
Booked bed and breakfast. The food was lovely. All staff were so good, no individual to name. We had one evening meal in the hotel. Very reasonable and very tasty.
Hotel is adjacent to Pleasure Beach and nearly oppositte South Pier. Reception staff have special offers to functions such as Madame to Saud's, Sea World etc.Buy your tickets from reception for discounts.
Will definitely be staying there again!.
