Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- SadoldsamuraiNorthumberland, UK30 contributionsAlways busy, but it's so big it never feels crowded.
Very popular with (responsible) dog walkers. Lots of open space, lots of woodland trails, the River Blyth for paddling in, a dipping pool complete with water boatmen, the odd newt and tadpole, water snails etc, a cheap and cheerful cafe, staffed by county council volunteers, and an excellent well used children's play area. There's also a well equipt woodland classroom which is obviously well used.
Busy pay as you go car park, but the first hour is free and it's only £4 for the whole day. (Opening hours vary, dawn to dusk) and the car park has a resident independent soft ice cream van with reasonally priced 'frozen goods'.Written 28 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nice area with a few features like a football field, cycle tracks, bmx area, kiddies play area. When raining the kids area often seems flooded. Most dog walkers pick up the poop but there a few people who don't- (why can't the council enforce this more?)Written 13 December 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - prowccNewcastle, UK135 contributionsMy grandchildren 5&7 boys love going here, although I think the oldest is now getting too big for the equipment. Reasonable price and food is value for money. I have found it very cold in the cool weather doesn't bother the children can be noisy at peak times but at least the children enjoy themselves. Toddler area and dressing up costumes are great for the younger ones.Written 3 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian brodie7 contributionsLast played bedlington golf club over 10 years ago , upon my return today it was clear from the offset that the course had well matured the whole set up was excellent all staff friendly and members alike , the course it's self was manicured to a high standard and the greens were the best ive played on by far they ran true quick and looked awsome well done to the grounds staff for maintaing to such a standard.
I look forwatd to playing again when back in the area .

Whilst it is a small venue, it's big on atmosphere. The beer is always well looked after, the cocktails are to die for (wife informs me) and there is room for your well behaved dog. They have a quiz on a Tuesday which is a hoot, but get there early. They do pizzas via Pitman Pizza (outstanding!) on a Wednesday night too which is well worth a look.
It's one of my favourite local bars and being independent and so well run, it deserves to be supported. If you haven't been before, give it a try.Written 17 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was given this as a gift so wasn't totally sure what I would be doing, however; every stage was explained perfectly whilst being demonstrated before we then copied. We finished the afternoon with a beautiful personalised journal. Lovely small class, friendly welcoming atmosphere, I will definitely be booking more classes.Written 11 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
