[Discussion] A realistic answer to Batman VS Superman from a Batman fan

Discussion

I'm a Batman and Superman fan, mostly Batman since he was my first Superhero but I have immense respect for Superman and what he stands for, but when it comes down to it, I can accept facts. When it comes to a fight between Batman and Superman everything that happens is circumstantial. So lIl start with the point on Batman winning.

Before a fight would even happen between the big 2, Bruce would most likely already be seeing it coming, due to a difference in Clark's personality and mannerisms giving him time to prepare, i.e. Prep time. In this case, Bruce would call in favours from friends like Wonder Woman, Starfire, the Lanterns, Shazam, the Super-family, ect, to hold off Clark when he arrives, stratagising a plan of defence and attack for them whilst he puts on either the Hellbat, Justice Buster, or final Batsuit upgraded with both Green and Gold kryptonite, Kryptonite laced fear toxin/nerve destroying gas, sleeping gas, red sunlight projectors ect. Superman has no chance of winning this battle

In the case of Clark winning, if he didn't show any signs of wanting to kill Bruce, he could simply fly up to him and kill him, laser a hole in his head or throw a pen at light speed at him whilst he's in a meeting( saw someone say it earlier and I though it was funny), Clark is also incredibly intelligent and being the Leaguer everyone trusts, which would allow him to devise a plan of attack where he could get the league to take out his defenses and contingencies first.

If we take it from a writers standpoint though, Batman will always win because it brings pride to humanity, makes people feel strong, powerful, like they can do anything.

But if you want my answer, Lex and Joker lose.

Then there's that time Superman beat three Batmans welding kryptonite weapons at the same time inside a red sun room.

Literally anything can happen.

Does it tho? If batman's win against supes is meant to bring pride to humanity, why'd the writers make him admit that he only win cuz supes let him?

Like how do you feel about your victory against someone after you've learned that person throw the match? Do you really feel proud of yourself?

I feel like that standpoint from the writers is hella dumb.

This dude posted the same thing in the superman sub. He’s just trying to start something

No, I'm not, my belief is Superman would need Jack shit to beat Batman. It's the big bang vs a infant child

If you read Batman and Philosophy, the opinion posited is that Batman wins because he knows he needs (and is perfectly willing) to cheat. Superman has too much integrity to take down Batman as easily as he’s capable of.

Nothing but plot armor saves batman.

They are both on the same side so wouldn't be fighting.

If batman were on the side of good and superman the side of evil prep time wouldn't matter. Superman could blitz him any time anywhere. He don't even have to get close. And if batman somehow was impenetrable supes could take a page out of friezas playbook and destroy the planet.

Shit like this is why amoung other things I have some to hate the dark Knight returns.

That comic has done more harm to both characters than good.

They shouldn't be fighting. Batman seems to hate supes for being nice and really feels some type of eay about him being from another planet which is so fucking bizarre.

"I won't to remember the one human who beat you" or something to that effect.

That whole run was so out of pocket from what batman stood for.

What frank miller did to robin was even worse.

Ive tead some of his other stuff too and it just makes batman look like a psychopath.

Frank miller should never get to write another batman story.

My hot take: he can't write for shit and his art is ok at best. Would have loved to had steve ditko or jack kirby doing batman back then instead.

I'm not taking that hot take Frank Miller slander, but it was a weird story, the movie made it somewhat cohesive though

From my perspective, Superman will always win in the end, but Batman will put up one holy hell of a fight.

Superman, being the Man of Tomorrow, represents the Future, he is the world to come, and Batman stands as a representation of the Present, he is the Man of Today. And no matter how hard the Present fights, The Future  will always come, Tomorrow always Wins.
