Dude was filming a movie here at our local western movie lot and was in the cantina where tourists can go. I asked for his autograph and he told me to fuck off. I was 10 years old… 😂

He must not have had his morning 8-ball

Cocaine and Xanax smoothie

Edited

With an LSD chaser.

What did the belt say to David Carradine?

u/xximbroglioxx avatar

"Yo bro, let's hang..."

u/Samson__ avatar

Wasn’t there a theory it was autoerotic asphyxiation gone wrong? Yikes

“Hang out with your wang out” was used literally.

Blackout dark even

The garter belt and bra under his clothes were chafing him.

His wiki says he actually attempted suicide at 5 yrs old. Highly unusual for that age range. I think he was truly miserable / depressed his whole life.

That’s crazy. Wow…

u/Brief-Pair6391 avatar

And Hershey was turned on by damaged goods, apparently

Not an excuse for being an asshole to a kid asking for an autograph.

u/Brief-Pair6391 avatar

Nope. But rather salient context, no ?

u/JuneBuggington avatar

Personally i would tell my kid to leave the man alone.

You could say he was always hanging on by a thread

If only Bruce Lee got his own role in Kung fu. David Carridine wouldn’t be like that.

u/Asatani avatar

I've always held the theory that Bruce Lee might still be alive today had he gotten that role. His circumstances around the time of his death might have been different enough to have gotten treatment sooner, since he likely would have still been in the States filming the series around that time.

More replies

I may have never known who he was 😂

More replies

What a wonderful guy. I wonder what ever happened to him 🤔

Auto asphyxiated in a wardrobe apparently.

His net worth at death was 500k. He must have really love to party ....

I wonder how much he made on the Kill Bill movies?

Shocking, he doesn't sound like a self-strangling jerkoff at all.

He's strangle-nutting in heaven now

The guy was almost 75 and was letting his freak flag fly. Got to hand it to him.

This exact same kind of situation happened to me at Gencon '05. A friend and I approached him as he was looking at a model of the Mach 5 from Speed Racer at a booth. We very politely asked for an autograph. He didn't even look up. He just said, "Whatever." Then he put the model down and walked away.

You must have loved it when he auto asphyxiated himself to death.

I was on acid when I heard the news and I had just finished watching a movie with an introduction by Carradine, it was weird

u/Cord13 avatar

Weird stuff always happens when you're on acid. It's like the universe knows you're tripping and sets out to fuck with you.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that you killed David Carradine. He'd be alive today if you hadn't taken that tab.

u/The_Original_Gronkie avatar

It's really true. Having the ability to view things objectively while tripping is a skill. So often, its necessary to turn to your buddy and say "You saw that too, right? It would be weird even if we werent tripping, right?"

u/Runningoutofideas_81 avatar

Hmm was it some low budget DVD release of Nosferatu that had the option of playing a Type O Negative album instead of the “score”?

Cause I had that DVD and David Carradine did the intro, with a sword cane. I am kind of sad I gave it away.

u/Futant55 avatar

Yes that was it. It was crazy on acid.

So you’re saying he was a real jerk off to hanged around

The air went out of the room when he came

More replies

damn, that’s a bummer of a story. I had no idea he was like that. you can’t tell from their on screen personas…

u/BadNewsBearzzz avatar

Of course, I thought what a coincidence to see this post today as I just read a random article about him yesterday complaining about Hollywood’s focus on “less masculine, feminine” guys these days like timothee chalamet 🤣

Wait, he died in 2009. Chalomet was like 13

u/BadNewsBearzzz avatar

I completely mixed him up with another actor lol

Why? He disnt exactly come off warm & fuzzy in any role I ever saw him in. I'm not surprised he was a creep.

More replies

The guy was a dick. I have a relative who was assigned to drive him to a filming location. They weren't familiar with any of his work and he spent the entire 90 minute drive berating them for not knowing his work and calling them stupid.

Well, he died suffocating himself while jerking off, so I’d say you got the last laugh.

u/filtersweep avatar

At least he died, doing what he loved.

More replies

Not "Fuck off, grasshopper"?

😂

More replies

You would have lost the auto. Instead he gave you a story you can tell forever. Win.

u/MountainMan17 avatar

Well, you probably had it coming... /s

😂 Fucking kids

No…. He was jerking off

Shoulda asked for it on a belt

Edited

I just remember he was in the army and was arrested like 50 times over his life and his brother played Louis in ROTN. Wasn't his father a famous actor too?

More replies

He ended up being a real jerk...

u/Shirtbro avatar

Really left you hanging

lol what a great story! So much better than an autograph if you ask me.

Well, if it’s any consolation he died jacking off.

u/eddietours1 avatar

💩

u/Pr0digy_ avatar

He had doors to see , himself to choke.

Classic Dave😂

Like dying while masturbaring, for one.

Was he like a known scumbag? I don't know much from him beyond this movie

More replies

Dude undid his belt tho

They can go get a belt or a neck tie to hang themselves by Like David Carradine, they can go fuck themselves and just die

More replies

She was great in The Entity.

The Entity scared me as a kid back then. I do not understand why my parents let me watch that with them.

u/lo-finate avatar

Same! That movie scared me so much back then. I'm 47 now and watched it recently. STILL makes me feel 😬.

u/aprildawndesign avatar

Yes! I always remembered how freaky it was when I saw it as a kid and I watched it recently ( 48) so Messed up!

More replies

If you had been a little older the ghost rape scene would have completely distracted you from the scary parts.

u/Silvermouse5150 avatar

Haha, that’s all I remember from that movie!
