AUP is a good school for people who are prioritizing being abroad above anything else. The on-campus life is not great and your ability to socialize with other students is hard because the campus is very spread out. It's really expensive for what you get, and the administration is not very helpful, other than a few exceptions. The student body is diverse in terms of nationality, but not very much in terms of economic situations. It's not entirely rich kids, but it's a LOT. The student housing is so overpriced & not worth the cost. It's definitely not a horrible school, but it's not for everybody. I think it's possible to get a good education here, but a lot of classes/profs are a swing and a miss.
I love the campus at AUP, which is spread around the 7th Arrondissement in Paris. The school is small and the professors are personally involved in their classes which makes for a more involved learning environment. There are a lot of higher-income students attending AUP which can sometimes cause a slight barrier between the higher and lower income students since Paris is an expensive city. Because it is an English taught institution outside of the US, it is a very diverse campus which allows for great opportunities to meet a large range of people from all over the world!
I absolutely love it here! The school makes you to be independent and helps immensely with the transition of moving from the US to Paris.
