I just want to give a quick shoutout to the women that work here in the morning. They are friendly, remember your name and order, and always greet me with a smile. They deserve major recognition for busting their tails every day, putting up with some very unfriendly customers, and still working so hard and being so friendly.

Long lines, people cutting in front of you, slow service, high prices -- had to ask just to get a bag for my lunch. Why do I keep going there?

Seriously? No one has reviewed this? It's a pretty good, fast-moving Au Bon Pain with lots of soup options, and accurate sandwich makers. Plus, sitting in One International Place is fun, with its bizarre rain fountain and skylights.

It is what it is... I think the best part is the people watching as I eat my bagel.

This place is OK. Clearly it "won" the breakfast, lunch and coffee break war vs. Finagle-a-Bagel in this building. It seems to be well-staffed, it has a good traffic flow and usually more than one register going at a time -- and that may be the reason why I give this a full 3-Stars..

Friendly service. Generally appealing food. Soups are a joy. But I had an iced vanilla coffee there that tore the roof off my nose and mouth with the stench/taste. Terrible. One bad item out of eleventy billion of them? I'll let it slide. Today....

Au Bon Pain has gourmet cupcakes!!!!!!!
I'm not sure if other locations have them but they are the new favorite for our team meetings at the office. Not many places if you are craving a non-cookie , non-coffee afternoon treat in the Financial District.
Flavors: Carrot Cake, Red Velvet, Double Chocolate (Double- Yum!) and Vanilla Bean
At 2.99 each and topping the scale at 330 calorites or more these are special treats. But so yummy. ABP sells 2 for $5 and in boxes of 4. - Allyson U.Brooklyn, NY0195/15/2012
So, truth be told they don't serve my favorite food in the city but today I got some soup there (which is always pretty solid actually) and accidentally burned myself. I yelped a bit and it was very painful and despite being surrounded by a bunch of patrons, people looked at me and my throbbing red hand and barely acknowledged me at all. Luckily the female manager, despite being rather busy, came over after a second and asked me if i was ok and got me some burn ointment. Classy move, lady. I don't forget kindness. I find most of the people in the financial district of Boston to be vile, dull and empty suits that barely look around them. This was a nice surprise.
the four stars is for this lady. the food is more of a 2 1/2 star affair. This woman is one of the only reasons that place stays afloat, i guarantee it. - Samantha V.Boston, MA0123/16/2012
I will never go back to this place again. On my friend lunch break, I asked her to bring me back a premade salad tuesday and i noticed the tomatoes were very rotten looking and the rest of the food looked like it had just been sitting over night in the fridge or something. Other than that, the employees and Janice are very helpful. I will miss that part.
