Catherine B. Bambrick, 94, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully in her residence on Saturday afternoon surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Pottsville on April 30, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Catharine (Minchhoff ) Rosenberger.

She was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and Valedictorian of her class.

Catherine was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Pottsville, where she was a lector and Eucharistic Minister.

She volunteered at the Pottsville Soup Kitchen and was involved with the Catholic War Vets and Pottsville Elks.

Catherine worked for the Pennsylvania Power and Light Company for many years.

She was a devoted woman of faith, love, and family. She enjoyed dancing, traveling, gardening, crocheting, and spending time helping others. Her “3 girls” were her pride and joy along with her only grandson, who kept her on her toes. Her great grandchildren were the apple of her eye.

“Catherine and roses are much the same, each is a masterpiece from God with different names.”

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent G. Bambrick, in 1998 and to whom she was married 48 years; son, Patrick V. Bambrick; sisters: Phyllis and Imelda Pfeiffenberger .

She is survived by sisters: Elaine Schutz, of FL and Mary Francis Kirwin, of NJ; brother: Leo Rosenberger, of Port Carbon; grandchildren: Michelle Strausser, wife of Alan, of Port Carbon; Patricia Howell, wife of Jeremy, of Marlin; Brian Bambrick, of Pottsville; and Catharine Hardinger “my Catie”, wife of Dane, of Auburn; great grandchildren: Ashley, Kierstyn, and Gavin Strausser, Morgan and Abegael Howell, Hunter “the mayor” and Hayden “Heidi” Hardinger; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick R.C.C. with Msg. O’Connor officiating. A viewing will be held from 8:45 a.m. until time of service in the church.

Interment in Calvary Cemetery will take place at a later date.

The family request contributions in Catherine’s memory be sent to St. Patrick R.C.C., 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901 for a memorial mass card.

On March 13th, our beloved Pop, Charles P. Naradko, 77, Pottsville, was called home to heaven unexpectedly at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus.

He was born August 4, 1943, the son of the late Charles and Pauline (Giemza) Naradko.

Sonny was married to the love of his life Judy (Schwartz). In 2020, they celebrated 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Sonny was a graduate of St Clair High School, Class of 61. He earned his bachelor’s degree in education in 1965 from East Stroudsburg University where he was a charter member of the Beta Pentaton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and earned a Master of Education from Bloomsburg University.

He retired from the Schuylkill I.U. #29 after 33 years where he served as a teacher and administrator of district located classes. After finishing a day at school, Sonny would spend time building and remodeling homes, a craft that became a family tradition.

Sonny was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, St. Clair. Most days you could find him at the church doing something after his morning meeting with the COFFEE CREW.

He was the honored patriarch of four generations of Charles P. Naradkos.

A family man through and through, Pop was so proud of each family member. He taught them valuable skills from woodworking to gardening, working on cars and cooking bean soup. He built a home for each one of his children and the homestead that is filled with love to the hilt each holiday and every day in between. He was elated all of his grandchildren attended college or are college bound. If you knew Sonny, you would know that his greatest achievement was his ever growing family. He loved them beyond measure, and they loved him and will miss him dearly.

Pop is also survived by his children, son Charlie, husband of Vicky, daughters Barbi, wife of Quinn Artz, Debbi, wife of Jack Hurst and Michelle, wife of Mike Hammer; 10 grandchildren, Michael Hammer and wife Ang, Charlie Naradko and wife Maddy, Lexi Hammer and companion Kevin Hoffman, Kelsey Hurst, Justin Hammer, Jack Hurst Jr., Torie Naradko and companion Ryan Yoder, Jacob Artz, Joshua Hurst, and Ben Artz; 2 great grandchildren, Charlie and Hadlee Naradko and his buddy, Miss Molly.

Devine Liturgy will be held at 11:00 AM Friday March 19, 2021 from St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 105 N. Morris St. Saint Clair, PA 17970 with Rev. Msgr. Myron Garbowski officiating. Friends may call from 8:30-11:00 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the March of Dimes, Donation Processing Center, P.O. Box 18819, Atlanta, GA 31126. David A. Stein
, 75, of Orwigsburg, passed away Friday, December 11th, at Geisinger St. Luke's Orwigsburg, with family by his side.

David was born in Pottsville, on March 24, 1945, a son of the late Pearl Katherine (Hoffman) and Daniel Raymond Stein.

He was the husband of Jean A. (Harnish) Stein. They were married August 27th, 1994. David was a Blue Mountain High School Graduate, Class of 1964 and he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

During his life he worked as an Aircraft Mechanic for United Airlines in California before retiring and coming back to Orwigsburg in 2000.

He was a member of Deer Lake HOG and enjoyed riding his Can-Am Spyder. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and were able to visit all fifty states and in some states traveled extensively.

In addition to Jean, his wife of 26 years, David is survived by his son, Dean A. Stein, husband of Shannon, and their children Ethan, Gabrielle and Mason; daughter, Tonya A. Stein, wife of Christen Moore; Also surviving are stepchildren Keith C. Shellhamer husband of Michelle and their children Caitlin, Keely, Sarah and Abigail; Dawn Leibold, wife of Curt and their daughter Crawford; Kirk E. Shellhamer, husband of Lark, of Alaska and their children Cruz and Blaze. He has a great grandson Maddox.

Surviving siblings include his sister, Sandra J., wife of James H. Freeman, Jr.; Four brothers, Richard L.Stein, husband of Lynn; Lowell Stein, husband of Barbara; Darrel R. Stein and Curt D.Stein, companion of Melissa.

A Celebration of Life Service, for David, will be Monday March 22 , 11:00 AM at the Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., visitation from 9 -11 AM. Interment, with military honors, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will follow.

Carol Lee Ferguson, 56, of Rock, PA, beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend passed away peacefully on March 11, 2021 lovingly surrounded by her family. She was born Carol Lee Kocher in the Pottsville Hospital on December 8, 1964 and was so anxious to come into the world that she was born before the doctor arrived. Carol is survived by her husband of 6 years, William, her mother Thelma Irene Laudermilch, brothers Ronald Kocher and his wife Tina, William Kocher, and Keith Laudermilch and his wife DruAnn, sister Sue Mindy and her husband Mark, and nephew Andrew.

Carol married William, her high school sweetheart and love of her life after reconnecting many years later. She was incredibly kind and adored children, especially the ones she so lovingly transported to and from school as a bus driver for R&J Transportation.

Her dogs, Sophie and Marley, were her pet children, and she was devoted to both of them until they crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date for family and close friends. William would appreciate donations of plants or flowers that can be planted in her honor at her home.
