Yahoo Mail (sbcglobal.net) Email Redirects to AT&T, but can't log in

We have two older email addresses with the extension @sbcglobal.net.  We got these when we had AT&T Cable, but kept them when we cancelled the Cable service and they kept working for years with no problem.  Just this week it has become an every-day battle to try to read our email.  Sometimes after several attempts, I can get in, others I cannot at all.  It keeps redirecting me to AT&T.net and tells me to log in there, but then I just get error messages.  What is going on?

None of your Forums seem to match, but AT&T seems to be at the root of the problem since I keep getting redirected there.

This is not what the person was asking help with. I'm having the same problem. We have been logging in with our sbcglobal and att acounts through Yahoo login page for years. Now it is redirecting to the att mail login site. Please read the questions asked thoroughly before replying with an answer. Your answer was not correct after I checked it out.

Sincerely,

Charles Randall

I think what ATTCares was trying to say, and if they ever checked their "shortened" links to see that they actually resolved to what they thing they are supposed to be, you should try accessing your att email through att's home/portal page, start.att.net.  Click the mail icon in the upper right.

If (when) that doesn't work you can post back here in the hopes ATCares can understand the problem.

None of your Forums seem to match, ...

You mean threads in these forums about this particular problem?  You couldn't find any?  Man Surprised  There's probably at least 50 of 'em by now!

Mine is doing this as well. Even with the Yahoo app on my iPhone. Please advise. What you stated above has nothing to do with Yahoo mail

I'm having this same issue.  I Never owned an att or uverse email account.  I've been using sbcglobal.net login account for YEARS, now I'm being directed to log in at an Att site.  I tried to do that, thinking you made some changes to the login process, but, I'm not receiving emails from my sbcglobal.net address at this "new" att.net email address.  I can access my sbcglobal account on my mobile devices, but not on my computer.  PLEASE HELP ASAP as I am expecting very important emails to be delivered to my sbcglobal.net account.  What do I need to do to fix this????

Thanks in advance!

Dear At&t/Uverse/sbcglobal.net,

You guys have had this issue before with the emails not working correctly. Do you not keep records of problems you have had in the past to correct them in the future if they happen again. I was lucky to have remembered that the issue was a battle between Yahoo and At&t. Is this the issue again? Or do you not want to say that has happened again? My att.net email accounts don't remember the passwords anymore. Every time I log in to my att mail I have to create a new password.

Please fix this problem and stop ignoring it.....

Sincerely,

Charles Randall

I do business online, this is a hindrance and could cost me sales.

OMG! Me, too! For the last several days, I have not been able to access my sbcglobal.net account. It's consistently redirecting me to At&T! I haven't used that account in....well....forever.  FIX THIS! The above help from At&T does not help. Not at all.

I was having the same issue with an sbcglobal.net account. I called AT&T several times before I finally was given the number for their Digital Assistance Dept. They told me that instead of signing in to yahoo.com we need to sign in at att.net. They reset my password and it worked once, but as soon as I signed out and signed in again the same issue happened - the sight was redirected to an AT&T login page. Upon further inspection of that page, it became evident that it was not an actual AT&T web page. I believe att.net and yahoo.com have both been hacked. The issue has been escalated further and hopefully AT&T will fix it now that they actually know it's happening. In the meantime, do not put any login information into that fake att login web site.

They haven't fixed it yet. It's still in the crapper........... You would think a company this big would care about their customers a little more..  NOT
