Carabao Cup third round draw time, TV channel and potential Aston Villa opponents

Aston Villa progressed into the third round of the Carabao Cup after defeating League One opponents Bolton Wanderer s yesterday evening.

Steven Gerrard's squad fell behind early thanks to an effort from Dion Charles but after Douglas Luiz' drifted his corner into the back of Joel Dixon's goal directly from the set piece, Villa's quality began to shine through and they walked away with a comfortable 4-1 victory.

The draw for the next round of the competition will take place tonight at around 9.45pm, live on Sky Sports, after the second round fixture between Tranmere Rovers and Newcastle United is concluded.

You can follow the draw on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football while it is also set to be available to be streamed on Sky Sports Football's YouTube channel. Third round matches take place the week beginning November 7, which currently has Villa booked in to face Graham Potter's Brighton and Hove Albion side away on the Saturday of that week.
