Founded in Aisne, France in 1925, Le Creuset has popularized the idea that every good cook “should know a little French." Their cocottes and dutch ovens are as coveted status items as much as they are quality cooking tools.
The company was started by casting specialist Armand Desaegher and enamelling specialist Octave Aubecq, who met at the Brussels Fair in 1924. The goods are still hand-crafted today using the original forging and casting process.
