  61. My Friend

I came across a fallen tree.
I heard the branches whisper to me.
Is this the tree, I used to know?
Is this the tree, I helped to grow?
A simple thing, so long ago.
We talked and sang; I loved you so.
And still do, even now as you sleep.
I tip-toe around you, for you I will weep,
    Recalling memories so sweet.
    You and I grew together.
    Our roots run deep.
    Entangled souls of this earth,
    We were destined to meet.
    Nothing can part us.
I am you, and you are me,
    My forever friend, you’ll be.

    Love always Helen xxxx

  64. Beautiful Helen, you are missed.

Albert Einstein said, “The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive.” In one word, Helen was a woman who gave.

You gave so much in your work by nursing others for 40 years. You gave so much to your friends by nurturing those friendships with love, kindness and laughter. You gave so much to your family and partner with your ever present smile, happiness, joy, love and laughter…oh that special smile.

As the eldest child of Josephine and Frank you were a shining light, the best daughter and big sister to Frances, Michael and Edward. Now that you have completed the circle of life, you are at last reunited with your beautiful Mum.

My condolences and big love to the family and to Rob. ♥

  65. Helen, We shared our knowledge in our Periop Course at St V’s. We shared our home in our terrace in Petersham, Sydney. We shared an office at RACS. Thankyou for sharing your life with me. Your friendship, smile and positive attitude to life will remain with me always. A true friend is never forgotten. Together, now with your dear mother.

  66. A sad time .Thoughts are with all the family . I regrettably had not seen Helen for many years but her impact on me from babysitting me as a kid to playing at Wilson’s Prom is something I will forever be thankful for . The absolute excitement of her (and Michael) dropping into my school in London as a 10 year old will never be forgotten to me . That day is etched in my memory. It’s hard to explain the effect that visit had and I am eternally grateful for it. That smile and genuine heart will never be forgotten . Rest In Peace and thank you for all the love in my formative years .

  67. My deepest condolences to the Postma family. Helen was a lovely woman who contributed so much during her journey on this earth.
