Anna Faris Parents: Meet Jack Faris and Karen Faris

Just Friends Anna Faris was born to her parents, Jack Faris and Karen Faris. Her parents hail from Seattle, and were her first encouragers of her acting career.

Faris’ father, Jack, is a professor of sociology at Towson University. He formerly worked at the University of Washington as vice president of internal communications, and served as head of the Washington Biotechnology and Biomedical Association,

Faris’ mother, Karen, teaches special education, who formerly taught at Seaview Elementary School in Edmonds.

Faris began acting at age nine, after her parents got her to starr in a stage play.

She later went on to gained fame for her comedic roles in films, especially in the Scary Movie franchise, where she played Cindy Campbell.

Her role in the film had established her as a talented actress with huge prospects.

In 2008, Faris appeared as lead character Shelley Darlingson, in the comedy film The House Bunny. She had played the role of a playboy bunny who becomes a house mother to a group of socially awkward sorority girls.

Faris further starred in the CBS sitcom Mom from 2013 to 2020, starring alongside Allison Janney as a mother-daughter duo trying to navigate their lives through alcoholism.

In addition to her on-screen career, Faris hosted a podcast called “Anna Faris Is Unqualified”, where she interviewed celebrities and offered relationship advice to callers.
