Dr. ANDREW ROSENBERG

Diplomate american college of dermatology 

 

Dr. Andrew Rosenberg earned his Bachelor of Science with distinction in research from Cornell University in 2005.  He completed his 3-year dermatology residency with Animal Dermatology Clinic in southern California in 2013 and achieved Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in the same year.  He received the American College of Veterinary Dermatology Clinical Science Residents Research Award for his work in cyclosporine (Atopica) associated gingival overgrowth in dogs.  He is an active member of the College of Veterinary Dermatology and currently is the Chairperson of the ACVD Education Committee.  He has multiple publications and lectures throughout nationally and internationally.  He has appeared on television on both News12 New Jersey and Nat Geo Mundo. He also been on a guest on radio shows and podcasts. Dr. Rosenberg has a strong interest in both allergies and autoimmune skin diseases. 

While not in the office, he donates his time to treat skin conditions of animals in zoos and wildlife centers.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with Jackson, his Labrador retriever, as well as skiing and traveling.

Dr. Daniel Bowden

Diplomate american college of dermatology 

Dr. Daniel G Bowden received his Bachelor of Science from Union College in Schenectady, NY. After graduation, he studied veterinary medicine at St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bowden completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City followed by a specialty internship in dermatology at the University of Illinois. Dr. Bowden then completed his residency training in dermatology at the University of California.

 Dr. Bowden enjoys quality family time with his wife and daughter. He also enjoys reading and many outdoor activities including hiking and skiing. He has two dogs, four cats and a ball python.

Dr. Bowden currently sees patients in Riverdale and Rockland locations.

Dr. Melissa Loewinger

Residency Trained Associate

Dr. Melissa Loewinger earned her Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University in 2011.  After receiving her DVM from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2015, Dr. Loewinger completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, NY. She then spent one year in private general practice in Queens before completing a yearlong surgical specialty internship in Dallas. Following her time in Texas, Dr. Loewinger moved back home to New Jersey and worked as an emergency veterinarian for several emergency and referral hospitals in NJ and NY.

Dr. Loewinger is excited to be starting her dermatology residency at Animal Dermatology and Allergy Specialists in the summer of 2019. Dr. Loewinger’s hobbies include running, hiking, and skiing. She enjoys traveling to national parks, exploring new countries and spending time with her cockatiel, Lennox.
