AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College women's track and field team won three events and saw a school record fall as the Mammoths hosted the Amherst Spring Fling on campus Sunday at the Neuhoff-Lumley Track, Hitchcock Field and the Coolidge Cage.

Eliza Cardwell won the 100m hurdles, first-year
Zoë Marcus won the 800m run and the Mammoths claimed the top spot in the 4x400m relay. First-year
Emma Ramsingh broke the Amherst program record in the discus for the second week in a row.
The Mammoths will be back in action next weekend, competing in the Coffey Invitational at Smith College on Friday and Saturday (April 12-13) and the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell University on Saturday and Sunday (April 13-14).
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Marcus and junior
Julia Schor claimed the top two spots in the 800m. Marcus notched her first collegiate win in an individual event with a time of 2:12.37 and Schor was just behind in 2:12.65, both personal bests and both among the top 15 times in Division III so far this season. Sophomore
Piper Lentz placed fourth in a personal-best 2:17.25.
* In her first action of the outdoor season, Cardwell won the 100m hurdles in 14.37 seconds, a time that ranks in the top 10 in Division III so far this season. In a strong event for the Mammoths, sophomore
Arissa Grace McGowan placed third in a season-best 15.05 seconds, classmate
Myeh Medina was seventh in 15.77 seconds and junior
Anaya Thomas finished eighth in a personal-best 15.82 seconds.

* Ramsingh broke her own school record in the discus with a throw of 43.38m to finish third in the event. Ramsingh broke the school record that had stood since 1985 in her collegiate discus debut last week and bettered her mark this week with a throw that ranks among the top 20 in Division III so far this season. Isabella Niemi finished ninth in the event with a mark of 35.85m.
* Eifrig finished second in the 400m with a time of 57.52 seconds, a personal outdoor best and one of the top 25 times in Division III so far this season.
* Thomas cleared 1.62m on her first attempt in the high jump to place second in her first meet of the outdoor season with a mark that ranks among the top 30 in Division III so far this season. First-year
Leah Smith finished eighth in the event with a mark of 1.57m.
* Medina was the runner-up in the 400m hurdles, clocking in with a personal-best time of 1:05.29. Junior
Artis Phillips was fifth in the event in 1:07.20, also a personal best.

Bella Lozier placed third in 4:41.29.

Héloïse Hughes finished fourth in her first collegiate 100m dash with a time of 12.58 seconds.

Mia Bawendi cleared 3.40m in the pole vault to tie for fourth place in her first event of the outdoor season.

Claire Callon finished 10th in the 5000m with a time of 18:32.81 in her first action of the outdoor season.
