Since childhood, he was inclined towards music and was a part of the bagpipers’ group in sixth grade. In an interview, he said,

I was involved with the bagpipes at school since I was in sixth grade. Not in the fifth year, as is often the case, but in sixth grade… And I annoyed my mother until I couldn’t so that she would buy me a Tambora in the center (of Caracas).”

He first got interested in acting at the age of ten when he watched the film Il Postino (1994) at Plaza de las Américas. In 2000, he moved to Havana in Cuba where he studied percussion for two years [1]Eldiario. A percussion instrument is a musical instrument that is sounded by being struck or scraped by a beater e.g. timpani, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, triangle, and tambourine. In an interview, while talking about his experiences in Havana, he said,

At 17, I left my home in Venezuela and went to Cuba to study drums… At that time, I was also working as a model so I would be close to a girl I had just met. In Havana they wanted to do a lot of campaigns, and one of those brands takes me to Mexico, where I started preparing for acting.”

Following the footsteps of a girl who charmed him in Havana, he decided to venture into the fashion industry as a model. Consequently, he landed an opportunity to campaign for a Mexican clothing brand, which paved the way to Mexico for him. Thereafter, he began his journey as an actor in the Mexican entertainment industry.
