Hostess, the American bakery company behind famous treats such as Snoballs and HoHos, unveiled its newest snack: the Ghostbuster Munch Madness Twinkie.

The Ghostbusters: Afterlife-themed Twinkies were listed for sale on the website for Farm and Fleet. The Twinkies feature a blue "fruit-flavored creamy filling" replacing the traditional white cream filling. "Hostess Ghostbusters Twinkies need no introduction," the website's description reads. "Live Your Mostess with one sweet bite at a time of creamy, cakey, golden goodness. These treats aren't just for dessert. They're perfect for picking up on your way out the door, or grabbing one to enjoy a quiet moment." At the time of writing, the Ghostbuster snacks have sold out on Farm and Fleet's website.

The name of the Ghostbuster Munch Madness Twinkies, as well as the blue-colored filling, tie-in to the newly revealed Ghostbusters: Afterlife character Muncher. While Muncher was briefly seen in the first trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a closer look at the character was seen during another promotional tie-in, an episode of MasterChef Junior: Spain. A model of the blue blob-like ghost appeared in the episode, along with a life-size recreation of the Ecto-1 and a large pool of blue slime. The new ghost Muncher bears a resemblance to Slimer; however, Muncher is blue and has six arms.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife was originally scheduled to release on Jul. 10, 2020 before being delayed until Mar. 5, 2021 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The film has since been delayed two more times, having recently been given a new release date of Nov. 11, 2021. Director Jason Reitman recently screened the movie for his father Ivan Reitman, director of the original Ghostbusters, and said the new film brought him to tears.

"My father hasn't been leaving the house much because of Covid," Jason Reitman said. "But he took a test, put on a mask and drove down to the Sony lot to watch the movie with the studio. And after, he cried, and he said, 'I'm so proud to be your father.' And it was one of the great moments of my life."

Directed by Jason Reitman, Ghostbusters: Afterlife stars Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd and Mckenna Grace. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 11.
