Carrie Underwood sparkles in figure-hugging dress at country music show

She's admitted she specifically chooses figure-hugging dresses to prevent pregnany rumours.

And newlywed Carrie Underwood shouldn't have any concerns about people misconstruing this figure-hugging lilac dress.

The American Idol winner showed off her slender form at the Girls’ Night Out: Superstar Women of Country in  Las Vegas tonight.

The 28-year-old, who married Mike Fisher last year, told People magazine this week:  'I choose my wardrobe differently because when I wear something a little baggier, I'm like, nope, people are going to think I'm hiding something, so I better not wear that.

'So it does make me kind of think a little extra.'

Tonight she was joined by Reba McEntire,  Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles for the concert, which was filmed for ACM.

The concert saw the performers pay respect to today’s top female artists in country music.

Underwood was recognized for being the only woman in the academy’s history to ever win entertainer of the year twice, in 2008 and in 2009.

McEntire, who last night co-hosted the ACM Awards with Blake Shelton, was recognised for winning top female vocalist award seven times, times than any other artist in history.

Ticket sales raised funds for ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music.
