We started the day with some sunshine before clouds rolled in quickly. Rain showers occurred this afternoon with temperatures climbing through the 60s to near 70. During the evening, showers and thunderstorms will be possible. There is a tornado watch in southwestern parts of the state until 9pm this evening, however storms are expected to weaken as they move in our direction. The threat of severe weather isn't zero, but it is low.
Overnight, the rain will end and the clouds will break up. We'll see lows dipping into the lower and middle 50s. The stage is set for partly to mostly sunny skies on Wednesday with afternoon highs in the low to mid-70s and a bit of a breeze coming in from the west and northwest.

Mostly Cloudy skies return Thursday. Southward trends have been occurring with the rain, so the southern parts of the area have the best chance of getting wet. The further north you go, the better the chance of staying dry. We need to lock in the exact path of where the rain will go still considering this system has brought lower confidence to the forecast, but it likely won't be a washout of a day for everyone. The pattern looks to support on and off showers for Mother's Day weekend. Saturday is likely to be the wetter day of the two.
