Lara Dutta on people calling patriotic films propaganda
Former beauty queen and actress Lara Dutta is busy promoting her upcoming web series Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond. The series is based on real-life events and what happened behind the scenes of a major defensive operation. Based on a true event, Lara is ready to amaze fans with he role as a power broker in the series.

In the show, Lara plays the role of a power broker, delving into the intricacies of modern warfare and geopolitical dynamics. In an interview with a news daily, the beauty queen talked about propaganda and patriotism. According to her, "People will always say that this is propaganda, but we don't say that when we watch other Hollywood films like Zero Dark Thirty or whatever we watch. So, why do we always apply this to our country's things."

She further added talking about why she took up this project, and said, "First comes your country, and then comes family or whatever will always be in the number two position. For me, choosing this story was a special thing because when the Balakot air strike happened, we got more insider information while being in the Air Force than civilians."

Along with her the film also stars Jimmy Shergill, Ashutosh Rana, Ashish Vidyarthi, Prasanna, and more. Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond is directed by Santosh Singh, and produced by Jio Cinema. The show will be releasing on April 25, 2024. Apart from this show, Lara will be seen in Welcome To The Jungle, Suryast and Ramayana.
