Tom Hiddleston and Fiancé Zawe Ashton Are Expecting Their First Baby

Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton are going to be parents!

After the actress debuted her baby bump at the premiere for her latest movie, Mr. Malcolm's List, a source for Page Six confirmed that the couple, who publicly confirmed their relationship last year, are currently expecting their first child. On the red carpet, Ashton looked radiant in an embellished champagne tulle gown, designed by Sabina Bilenko Couture.

Hiddleston opened up about his engagement to Ashton in an interview with the Los Angeles Times in June, saying, "I'm very happy."

She stars in a new Regency-era rom-com.

Ashton plays Julia Thistlewaite in Mr. Malcolm's List, a rom-com set in the Regency era that also stars Freida Pinto, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Ashley Park, and Theo James. Based on the Suzanne Allain novel of the same name, the movie officially premieres July 1.

Zawe and Tom played a married couple on Broadway.

In 2019, the two played husband and wife in Betrayal, a drama that puts a critical lens to the end of a marriage.

A source close to the production told People that the two had "lovely" chemistry together. "They were very private publicly, but behind the scenes you could just see a lovely chemistry," the source said. "There were twinkles in both of their eyes, and the entire company, including Charlie Cox, were all very close."

Hiddleston and Ashton developed a close bond off-stage too. "And being Brits abroad, they would hang out frequently. Zawe and Tom showed great affection for each other, and you could also see that coming off slightly in their onstage performance," the insider said. "Tom has always been a very, very private person. Behind the scenes, they would just privately be affectionate and hugging and sitting next to each other and holding hands."

They made their red-carpet debut in 2021.

In September 2021, Ashton and Hiddleston publicly confirmed their relationship by making their red-carpet debut at the 74th annual Tony Awards.

At the time, Ashton dazzled in a red tulle dress, while Hiddleston wore a classic tux in navy blue.
