Red Bull’s Mind Set Win back for third season with new format and host

Red Bull’s podcast, Mind Set Win, will return for a third season in a new twin episode format with each guest’s interview split into two weekly episodes.

The podcast explores the mental tactics and performance of elite athletes and other high-performance personas, including Xavi Simons and Liam Lawson.

Each Tuesday, new host and Sky Sports Presenter Lisa Ramuschkat will hold an in-depth conversation with the week’s guest. Then on Thursdays, Lisa will be joined by York-Peter Klöppel, Head of Mental Performance at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Centre, for a breakdown of the interview, with York providing insight and takeaways listeners and fans alike can apply to their daily lives.

The first episode of season three kicks off with Xavi Simons alongside mental performance coach, Dr Peter Schneider, with subsequent weekly episodes featuring Liam Lawson as he navigates his F1 journey, and Australia’s BMX Olympic contender Saya Sakakibara.

The season will also feature returning guests in Siya Kolisi, fresh from leading South Africa to a second Rugby World Cup victory, and Olympic gold medal winning triathlete Kristian Blummenfelt, who this time is joined by his coach Olav Alexander Bu, for a conversation about their special cooperation. Further guests will be announced as the season progresses.

Similar to previous seasons, the podcast will explore themes such as resilience, focus, self-belief and decision-making.

Speaking on the new series, host Lisa Ramuschkat said: “The true power of a resilient mindset is something that has always been interesting to me from my days as a professional hockey player to now interviewing the world’s top athletes.

“So, I couldn’t be more excited to go down this path with York and give listeners an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the mindsets and tactics of some of the most successful stars.”

Co-host York-Peter Klöppel commented: “I’m delighted to be back for a new season, and I am particularly excited to roll out our new format alongside my new co-host, Lisa. The two-episode cluster promises to delve even deeper into the art of mental performance than ever before and break down how these tactics can be used in our everyday lives.”

Mind Set Win season three will be available on YouTube and all podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Deezer from 23 April.
