Women Won't Tell plot

A homeless woman lives near the city's garbage dump. She can live on the waste by collecting it and then selling it. She finds an abandoned girl and has to make sacrifices to take good care of her. When the woman learns that a wealthy manufacturer has died and that he has left his estate to his estranged wife, she tries to claim this estate for the child, but is arrested and jailed for perjury.
