Biography

Son of Samuel Manson & Eleanor Rogers of Kittery Maine Some say Samuel Manson & Jane Tucker

William & Rachel Manson moved from Kittery Maine to Gorham after the birth of his first child and lived upon the Stephen Longfellow place about one and one half miles from Saccarappa. In 1788 he came from Gorham and settled on Joy Road, near outlet of Foss Pond. It is said that at first he and his wife moved into a cooper shop, located near a large neck.

William Manson was a Revolutionary Soldier. served as private in Capt. Nicholas Blaisdell's company, Col. Edward Wigglesworth's Massachusetts regiment

Manson-1599 and Manson-508 are not ready to be merged because: This can be done but I believe fundamental errors in 508 that need resolving and I cannot change 508 without permission.

Biography says Son of Samuel Manson & Eleanor Rogers of Kittery which I believe to be correct, but you have Jane Tucker as the mother. Page 16 of the Portsmouth Race of Monsons, Munsons, has Samuel marrying Jane Tucker 31 May 1750 which is 2 months after Williams birth.
