Barış Ä This movie gets a few extra points because it's based on real events and they couldn't have just smoothed out and polished the story like I would have wanted them to. The story is nothing too good, again, because it's real, but I thoroughly enjoyed the narrative technique and the zigzag of the non-linearness. Good storytelling in this movie, especially considering the story is a real one. It does a good job conveying the events and still being a movie, and an immersive one at that. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/05/24 Full Review Sophie B YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review jorge l One of the Best road movies for a writter to see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/24 Full Review Franky L Having read the book, this is an accurate depiction of the tragedy that occurred to Chris Mccandless. Emil was superb, but the portrayal of Mccandless was soft compared to the book. It's a very good depiction of what will happen when one attempts to forage even prepared with books and some experience. In 2024, it's not as shocking to see people desiring to live off the grid. Back then, it was a little "hippy." The cinematography was excellent and Penn's direction was solid in telling this unpleasant and somewhat selfish biography. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/24 Full Review Andy H Into the wild. A very powerful drama, that stays in your mind and memory long after. Very strong soundtrack, "Oh, it's a mystery to me We have a greed, with which we have agreed And you think you have to want more than you need Until you have it all you won't be free Society, you're a crazy breed I hope you're not lonely without me" Thats Eddie Vedder, singing one of this best songs ever. Its a perfect synopsis of the movie. "Society, I hope you're not lonely without me". McCandless just wants to live his life, the he want to live his life. Leaving society, into the wild, he experience true life. But life is hard, very hard. Maybe that is why we all need a little bit of society after all. David Fear Blender Anyone who’s read Jon Krakauer’s best-selling nonfiction account knows the details, but actually seeing McCandless’s travels is still thrilling. Yet... are we supposed to salute this foray into the wild or shake our heads at the sheer idiocy?
