Physical therapist Leslie Wright lands the dream job of working with basketball superstar Scott McKnight, helping him recover from a career-threatening injury. All goes well and soon Leslie finds herself falling in love with him. Just as their friendship deepens, however, Scott focuses his attention back on his tenuous relationship with his ex-fiancé Morgan, Leslie's gorgeous godsister, who would love to be the basketball player's trophy wife.

I can't believe Just Wright (2010) invented a healthy relationship where both parties excel professionally, sentimentally and personally thanks to each other's help, encouragement and motivation by the end of the movie.
Can we get a moment of appreciation for Queen Latifah as a rom com lead? Even when she’s doing tropes like the shy girl or the Tom boy she always carries herself with such grace and magnetism.
Queen Latifah is her magnificent, magnetic self & she wears tracksuits & her feel-good snack is a marshmallow/chocolate chip cookie sandwich & she's just absolute perfection. It's a genuinely great romcom, which carefully builds its characters and their relationships and uses satisfying tropes while refusing to villainize anyone & it definitely deserves a higher rating that it has.

Not a bad starting five honestly
Rom coms are way too unbelievable. Tell me you can go on a date with Queen Latifah and not have a great time and immediately fall in love with her. Tell me. LIAR.
