One of the most feared superstars in the history of professional wrestling, "The Big Red Machine" Kane has made a lasting impact on WWE history. He started his Hall of Fame career in 1992, but he made his official debut as Kane in 1997. He emerged as the long-lost brother of The Undertaker and from there, the two were forever cemented in each other's careers.

"The Devil's Favorite Demon" has won multiple championships throughout his career, and has worked as both a villain and a hero. He is part of some of the most interesting storylines in WWE throughout the last 30 years and still continues to make sporadic appearances. Kane is now heavily involved in his political career but still considers the WWE his home. Though he has had many great moments throughout his time in his professional wrestling career, there are few that WWE and his political team might want fans to forget.

10 Corporate Kane

For most of his career, Kane was a fire-causing beast that took no consideration of the rules. That is why when he became Corporate Kane during a storyline with The Authority, fans were caught off guard by the change. There was no mask, no fire, nothing that made him the person fans loved.

Instead, Kane would come out in a suit, and while also wrestling in the suit. He became more of a managerial figure under the McMahons. This angle lasted about two years, and it really put a damper on the amazing career and character he had to spend so long creating.

9 Zack Ryder's Torturing

Kane and Zack Ryder

In the middle of 2011, Kane was injured and was sidelined for about five months. Towards the end of the year, vignettes started to air for Kane's return. He would show up on a December episode of RAW, revealing that he was wearing his mask again following a long absence of his iconic look. He then would go on to attack John Cena.

Throughout that storyline, whenever Kane wanted to get to Cena, he would attack his close friend Zack Ryder. Now, Kane has done his fair share of torturing stars throughout the past, but he was very hard on Ryder. In one instance, Kane would take Ryder and chokeslam him through the entrance ramp. After Ryder was in a wheelchair, Kane would then take a crippled Ryder and push the chair off the ramp.

8 Treatment Of Lita

Kane and Lita's Wedding

Even monsters deserve to be loved; at least that is what Kane thought in 2004 when he fell in love with WWE Hall of Famer Lita. After losing to his brother The Undertaker at WrestleMania XX, Kane was looking for a new purpose. He began to stalk and harass Lita and her boyfriend Matt Hardy. He would end up kidnapping her, then it would come out that she was pregnant.

Kane claimed to be the father, which lead to a match between Hardy and Kane with the winner getting Lita's hand in marriage. Kane won the match and married Lita, this would then put Kane in the title picture. He would not win the title but he would end up crushing Lita due to an attack from Gene Snitsky. The two would end up having a feud that involved punting a fake baby across the arena. Overall, his treatment of Lita was horrific and no one should be taken against their will.

7 Previous Gimmick

Isaac Yankem in WWE

There is a long list of bad gimmicks throughout the history of professional wrestling and a few of them belong to Kane. Before he became the iconic character fans grew to fear, he went through multiple gimmick changes. First, he wrestled for a while under the name Unabomb but that never really went far.

He would then become Issac Yankem DDS who was an evil dentist that also wrestled. He was like Britt Baker but scary and not a real dentist. He would have a decent run with the gimmick until it grew old and he disappeared for a while. Kane would then re-emerge as Fake Diesel, which was to take shots at Kevin Nash for leaving the promotion.

6 Silent Treatment

Kane Badd Blood 1997 Cropped

When Kane made his debut in 1997, he was booked as a hideous broken man who was left to die in a fire. In an effort to make Kane more like an iconic horror character, he was not to say a word. He was not capable of understanding words and he only knew violence.

His first unaided words were when he was part of D-Generation X and he said their "Suck It" slogan. He would then go a long while without speaking a single sentence. Even though it was creepy, Kane was such a great character that WWE might want to leave his unspoken era behind him and focus on some of his great promos.

5 Lighting Jim Ross On Fire

Kane and JR

Some of the greatest and darkest promos that Kane had come after he had just taken his mask off in 2003. He had lost a match to Triple H that required him to unmask, revealing his hideous face for the first time on WWE TV. He went on a rampage after that, attacking everyone in sight and his character took an even more sadistic turn.

Part of the process included some very violent content that WWE might not want to revisit today. During an interview segment with Jim Ross, Kane would go on to attack him. He then took out a container of gasoline and poured its contents on JR before lighting him on fire. The scene would be too much violence for WWE's family-friendly programming of today.

4 Everything With Kane & Pete Rose

Pete Rose Guest Hosts Raw Cropped

Anything can happen in the WWE, and Kane's relationship with WWE Hall of Famer and Baseball Legend Pete Rose is the perfect example of that. Their rivalry started at WrestleMania 14 when Rose was supposed to be the guest ring announcer for Kane's match with The Undertaker. Once Kane came out, he attacked Rose.

Rose seeking revenge attacked Kane at WrestleMania 15 but it did not work out well for him either. It didn't work out for Rose at WrestleMania 2000 as well. Throughout the years, the two would revisit this situation multiple times and each time Kane would come out victorious. Though it made for very entertaining segments, there has always been a lot of controversy around Pete Rose that they might not want to revisit in this day and age. WWE already faced the #SpeakingOut Movement and won't want people to think about accusations surrounding a WWE Hall of Famer.

3 Fake Kane

Fake Kane

As if WWE did not learn their lesson with the Fake Diesel character, they decided to have an angle where a Fake Kane would come and attack Kane. In 2006, Kane was at the peak of his unmasked gimmick and trying to leave behind the history of Masked Kane. The problem was The Big Red Machine was haunted by memories of "May 19th", leading to an imposter version of Kane making his introduction.

In reality, the character was played by the future Luke Gallows of The Bullet Club, but it was never said on screen as he was quite early in his career at that time. Either way, it resulted in a dull ending as Kane would eventually beat up the masked imposter and then unmask him, tossing him out the door and dispatching his character from the company.

2 The Kane-A-Roonie

Kane A Roonie

In 2002, a faction called The Un-Americans was one of the dominant groups of the time. The group was made up of Christan, Lance Strom, and Test. They were feuding with Booker T and Goldust and were successful at defeating them; that was until Kane returned.

Kane would make his grand return from injury following multiple vignettes hyping the monster's comeback. He would help Goldust and Booker T, and it would lead to them winning a match against The Un-Americans. Post-match, Kane would do his own rendition of Booker T's spin-a-roonie and call it the Kane-A-Roonie.

1 Katie Vick

Triple H and Katie Vick

Also, in 2002, Kane was the center of one of the worst and most disgusting storylines in the history of WWE. He was the Intercontinental Champion and started to feud with the World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H. During that time, Triple H revealed that Kane used to be in a relationship with a woman named Katie Vick who died in a car accident.

After the car accident though, Triple H said that Kane still proceeded to have relations with the woman. Triple H would then go on to dress up as Kane and act out the relationship with a fake doll that was in a casket. Overall, it was an insensitive segment that would not work on WWE today and it really painted both Kane and Triple H in a bad light.
