Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? in London Film Festival premiere

A film shot in Dorset is being premiered at the BFI London Film Festival.

Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? is a British film aimed at children aged six to 10.

It was filmed on location in Bournemouth and Bridport and is the story of four children who set out to solve the title's mystery.

The film was made by Bournemouth-based filmmakers and stars Bonnie Wright who played Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films.

Some of the funding came from a Kickstarter campaign last year and the majority of the cast and crew were from the Dorset area.

Most of the filming took place at the Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, near Bridport.

It was written and directed by BAFTA-nominated writer and award-winning director Tim Clague and Danny Stack - a CBBC and CiTV writer - and was co-produced by Jan Caston, who specialises in light entertainment and children's fiction.

Mr Clague said: "This is an exciting premiere for our film.

"Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? is a contemporary story for today's children, but it will remind mums and dads of the kind of films they watched as youngsters and hopefully get kids off their tablets and phones and encourage them to have an adventure."

The film will be screened at the Haymarket Cinema in London on Saturday 10 October.
