The stay @Hilton Garden Inn was pleasant, the price was reasonable, i'm not into names of hotels, I'm trying to save money, staff was Great. Hotel was clean, rooms kinda small, overall nice location, keep up the good service and people will hear about Hilton from me.

No complaints here, staff was nice and helpful. The room was a bit small but that was expected for downtown. Everything was clean and the bed felt comfortable. Wasn't a big fan of the pillows, they were way to soft.

What started out as a great experience for our Valentine's weekend to Chicago, turned into the worst hotel experience ever. We returned to our hotel at 11:30pm after a concert to a strong gas odor in our room. We called the front desk, who sent security to our room who smelled the room and left. After 30 minutes of no response, I called the front desk and was told the engineer had been called. They could not offer us another room because there were none. We ended up moving to the hotel next door, Hampton Inn. Hilton Garden Inn still charged our credit card which I have start the dispute process. Worse customer service from the front desk staff who just simply did not care at midnight what happened to us.

Oh no! This is certainly not indicative of the service standards we pride ourselves on, and we are very sad to be receiving our first one start rating as well!
I am hoping to make contact with you regarding your recent experience, I apologize that your card was charged, which was an obvious oversight on our part. I am glad however, that it is now in the process of being corrected.
As mentioned in my email sent to you on 2/18/16, the safety of our guest are always top priority, and although a source of the smell you told us about has not been confirmed or identified, we do have CO2 detectors in every room in the event there is ever an unsafe level in a guest room.
Nonetheless, we take any safety related claim seriously, and are being thorough in our efforts to ensure that no danger exists.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review with your concern, as of 2/22 however, I have not yet received a reply to my efforts to contact you; I hope to hear back from you soon!

This hotel has a great location. It's very close to where ever you want to go or you can jump on a bus or an L train within a block and get anywhere you want to go. Left the car at a Metra stop so we didn't have to hassle with parking as well. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean with nice amenities, there was even a heater in the bathroom. The beds are super comfy and the staff was extremely nice. We had a great experience!

Room tip: Ask for a high room.

Really enjoy HGI, but this is definitely the best stay and value I have ever experienced at a HGI. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and generally awesome. Only improvement I would suggest is to expand the In-Room Service menu and advise customers of the locations of ice machines for those floor that do not have an ice machine.
