Hi! My family of 3 teenagers are going to Alabama mid July. Down to two areas...Gulf Shores & Orange Beach. Looking at Bel Sole condo & Grand Point or Bella Luna. 1st timers...is there one area that is better? Would like not too busy but maybe fun activities close by. We will have a car.
If you have a car, it makes little difference where you stay because Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are close to each other. It also depends on what activities you want to do. Most of the marinas are closer to Orange Beach if you want to go fishing or take a cruise. Also, OB has more upscale restaurants if you are a foody. The State Park is between GS and OB so access is easy from either place.

Everywhere will be busy then. Please be aware that Bel Sole and Bella Luna are both located on the bayside and there is a busy 4 lane road between these buildings and the beach. Grand Pointe is directly on the beach and next to Perdido Pass. You can walk to the Gulf outdoor restaurant from there along the beach as well as to the Perdido Beach Resort. Numerous other good restaurant options across the same 4 lane road on the bayside as well as charter fishing.

July is our busiest month here, so it may be busy when you visit.
Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are very easy to travel between the two cities.
