A shocking photo has emerged of a blood-stained wall inside a trendy pub where a young woman was allegedly sexually assaulted.
Investigations are continuing into the alleged assault of a woman, 20, in a female toilet at the Golden Sheaf hotel in Sydney's eastern suburbs last Wednesday.
The incident allegedly occurred just three days after the popular Double Bay pub reopened after almost four months of lockdown.
A man, 23, was later arrested and questioned by police before being released without charge, pending further inquiries.
2GB breakfast presenter Ben Fordham was sent an image of what appears to be bloody handprints smeared on the walls on the night of the alleged assault.

The blood will be forensically tested to see if it's from the woman who was allegedly assaulted, who was later taken to hospital.
Sources told the Daily Telegraph the smears don't appear to be consistent with her injuries.
A NSW Police spokeswoman confirmed to Daily Mail Australia it's aware of the image being circulated.
Investigations into the alleged assault are ongoing.
'A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic police,' the spokeswoman said.
'A 23-year-old man, who had been detained by security, was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station. He was later released pending further inquiries.'
'Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the incident, which remains ongoing.'
The alleged incident occurred at the Golden Sheaf, a trendy pub in Double Bay
The pub confirmed in a Facebook post police attended the venue on Wednesday night.
'We can confirm that NSW Police attended the Golden Sheaf last night in response to an incident that allegedly occurred,' the venue wrote.
'We are committed to creating the safest possible environment for our guests and staff and we take allegations of this nature extremely seriously.
We are reviewing our security protocols and procedures to ensure the continued safety for our guests and staff.
“We are currently assisting NSW Police with their enquiries, however, as this is now a police matter, we are unable to comment any further.
