ASTORIA, NY — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

What: Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks
Where: East River
When: The Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks Spectacular runs from 8pm to 10pm on July 4.

More than 65,000 shells and effects will shoot off from five barges lining the East River in Midtown. There will be two miles of public viewing space open - details of which will be published here – but the show will be viewable from rooftops and other access points across the city.

Last year's event was drastically altered, with shows happening at unannounced locations and without spectators. So 2021's promises to be a particularly massive celebration.
